
ABOUT US
Farmica (EPZ) Ltd is a leading macadamia processor, established in Kenya at the EPZ in Athi River County in 2018. It is a family-owned business set up by two local business-men, and represents the agri-business arm of the Bhachu Group of Companies. The processing facility is GFSI accredited for FSSC 22000 5.1, BRCGS, Kosher, and FDA approved, placing immense importance on the company’s food safety standards. This assures our customers globally of the exceptional product offered by Farmica. Farmica is also a member of the International Nut & Fruit Council (INC) and regularly participates in critical events alongside other major players within the global nuts community.

All of our staff undergo rigorous training on food safety, personnel safety and environmental care. This enables us to honour our commitment to produce superior-quality macadamia nuts in a safe and clean environment, through a process that does not compromise on maximizing the yield from our inputs.

Using our buying centres in the macadamia growing zones in Kenya, we offer a specialised extension service to our smallholder farmers. When we aggregate the nut-in-shell received, we batch the lots as per region and process them as such at the factory. Reports are shared with our growers, detailing the complete analysis of nuts processed, surveys to the regions and best advice regarding Good Agriculture Practice (GAP) varieties and certifications.

We are proponents of good agricultural practices, and advise our smallholder farmers to strictly follow the global GAP whilst maintaining environmentally friendly protocols.

In engaging our farmers with various capacity building activities, including industry trends, we assure ourselves that only premium NIS is delivered to our factory for processing in a facility that is certified as per global standards for food safety.
